Year 1 to Year 6


Students in Years 1 – 6 belong to the same class group all year, with instruction in the Primary Studies subjects – English, Mathematics, Science, HASS, Digital Technologies and the Arts are taken with the class teacher. Lessons in Years 1 – 3 are also supported by Education Assistants.

Every week all classes participate in lessons conducted by Primary Specialist teachers, who teach Languages - Indonesian, Music, Physical Education, Critical and Creative Thinking, Design Technology and Drama.

Special Programmes

Students in the primary years at Roleystone Community College have the opportunity to participate in

  • College Choir (Years 4 - 6 students) 
  • Interschool Sports (Years 5 and 6),
  • the district’s P.E.A.C. programme, Years 5 and 6 
  • an annual programme of swimming lessons
  • EDU Dance
  • the Instrumental Studies programme provided by The Department of Education Instrumental Music School Services (IMSS) formerly called School of Instrumental Music (SIM)
