children reading books in library

At Roleystone Community College, we want every child to have the wonderful and important experience of sharing books and stories with the adults in their life right from the time they are born.

Better Beginnings supports parents with reading to their children, to build the early literacy skills needed to become good readers and succeed at school.

Your child will receive a fantastic literacy pack including a book to keep as part of the Better Beginnings Family Literacy Program.
Parents/Caregivers are invited to a short session in your child's classroom on: Monday 22 August at 9am (K1 & K3) and Friday 26 August at 9am (K2).
You will find out about the literacy pack and the important role you play as a parent/caregiver in your child's literacy development.

Librarian Jenny Ramshaw from Armadale Library will also talk about online resources, backpacks to borrow and other services at the library.
