Most of our students, Parents and Caregivers will have noticed that Mrs West has not been at the College for a very long time, as she was enjoying some well-deserved Long Service Leave.

Unfortunately for RCC, Mrs West enjoyed the time away so much, that she decided to make it permanent, and has retired from teaching, closing a long and extremely rewarding chapter of her life.

Mrs West began her teaching career, 40 years ago, and has enjoyed a stellar career in education, from classroom teacher to music specialist and Associate Principal at the College.

Her colleagues miss her professionalism, expertise, knowledge and organising skills – from all the most beautiful ANZAC ceremonies, that ran like clockwork with military precision, to the lovely Primary Awards Presentations, photo days, swimming lessons and much much more.

Our students miss her also, as she was always kind but firm but always greeted everyone with a big smile.

Farewell, but not Goodbye Mrs West – We all wish you a wonderful, happy life in retirement – but please remember to drop in and catch-up.
