On Tuesday 30 November, Block 3 ventured out to Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Reserve for the day!

We had an absolute blast patting dingoes, creating craft pieces, catching soft toy birds and walking through a cockatoo aviary.

The reserve taught us how they rescue and rehabilitate cockatoos and how some are now considered residents! We were allowed to treat the cockatoos to honkey nuts and we learnt that birds tend to like the smaller honkey nuts as it is less work for them to eat the seeds inside!

The students behaved beautifully and represented the school in the perfect ‘Roley Way’.

A huge thankyou to Kaarakin Reserve for hosting us all and for Mrs Adams for organizing such a fun excursion for us!
