Late last year Music Specialist Teacher, Jane Slater, and local musician Chris Horgan, were part of the Torchlight Youth Mentoring project, a community initiative sponsored and funded by the City of Armadale and the Roleystone Community College P & C.

The youth ensemble accompanied with musicians from the Jarrah Celtic Band, Kim Bettenay and John Perry, recorded their performances for a public digital release.

The group set up the Media Studio at RCC as a music studio and a number of our students were involved in the recordings.

It was a wonderful experience for our students, and a very worthy community project for our local youth.
