Due to COVID-19, the Year 7 Transition Camp had to be postponed until Term 3. In Week 9, our happy campers finally set off to the Manjedal Activities Centre in Karrakup – away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and further into the bush than Roleystone. No tech, no service – just nature, exercise and activities that really tested our students’ confidence, determination and relationships.
It gave our teachers and Year 7 students a wonderful opportunity to bond with each other, get to know each other and to experience many varied and exciting activities.
RCC would like to thank our very dedicated staff members, led by Camp Leader Jaco Coetzer, Rebecca Jackson, Sophie Riekstins, Ryan Poole, Georgina Wallace and Heather Clarke. Without them volunteering their time and being happy to be away from their families for three days, these events could not happen. Thank you also to our students for their good behaviour and helping to create some fantastic life long memories.
It was a blast and great fun.
