Roleystone Community College P & C

The P&C at Roleystone Community College is a very important part of the school. We provide several essential services such as the Canteen, Uniform Shop, Lost Property and a traffic management officer/crossing guard. In addition to this the P&C support the school chaplain and provide additional funding as agreed with the school throughout the year.

The P&C is run by a small committee of volunteers. The money to fund all of the above is achieved through a combination of a $40 per family voluntary contribution, fundraising and profits from the Uniform Shop.

P&C Meetings

Meetings are held in the staff room from 7.30 pm. Check out the Website front page for meeting dates.

Everyone is welcome!

P & C News - 2021

MOVIE NIGHT Roleystone Community College Oval POSTPONED DUE TO POOR WEATHER
Jumanji – The Next Level
Unfortunately, with all the rain lately, the oval will be very waterlogged.
So the P&C have decided to postpone the Movie Night to Friday 12 March.
If you have not pre-ordered any sausage sizzle dinner you now have until 12noon next Thursday 11 March to submit your order via QKR.
Please note there are no food vans this year so your only dinner option at the venue is the sausage sizzle.
We will have SafeWA QR Code for signing in on the night.
If you have any questions please get in touch via our Facebook page ‘Roleystone P&C’ or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
We thank you for your understanding and support.

***Important note***
This is NOT A KISS AND DROP event - Parents/Guardians are responsible for the supervision of their children.
This is an Alcohol Free Event.

Doors open 6pm - movie starts around 7:30pm
FREE entry - All welcome

P&C Kiosk with treats such as popcorn, lollies, chocolates, drinks, ice creams.
Please bring some gold coins to support our kiosk, having the right change helps us immensely on the night.
Bring your picnic rug or deck chairs (but please be courteous and move to the side if you have chairs so everyone can see).
It is also a good idea to bring a torch as there is limited lighting on the oval.

RCC would like to congratulate our P & C President Scott Mosey and Treasurer Rakia Stokell who were both recognised in the 2021 Australia Day Community Awards for their tireless efforts supporting the College and the P & C. They were each nominated for the City of Armadale Community Citizen of the Year award and we are all so very proud of them.

Well done and thank you for your hard work and endless enthusiasm.

Rakia and Scott

RCC Gym Update
Thank you to everyone who signed our petition for a multipurpose gymnasium at the College. On Wednesday 8 December 2020, we handed over 1000 signatures to Education Minister Sue Ellery with some very welcome support from local MLC for the East Metropolitan Region, Mr Matthew Swinburne and Labor candidate for Darling Range, Hugh Jones. Keep an eye out in the Examiner Newspaper for the story and watch this space for updates over the coming months.

Container Deposits at RCC
Come on everyone - help fill up our bin in 2021!
Thanks for all the donations last year, it was fantastic how the community got on board. Remember all the money generated is re-invested into Roleystone Community College.
Last year the P&C received a $2,000 grant to become a Container Deposit Scheme Donation Point, which funded the purchase of a lockable donation bin.
Donating containers like plastic bottles and aluminium cans is a fantastic way students, parents and the community can support their local school, and at the same time reduce landfill.
But remember DON’T crush any cans donated.

Happy P&C Day!

On Friday 22 May RCC recognised the wonderful work our very hard working volunteers from the P&C do in the school for us every day. Some of our wonderful teachers created some activities with their students to recognise the day and to make our students aware of what the P&C provides at the school. We also created a short video which we encourage you to watch at
https://youtu.be/LFb5x45y__o
A huge thank you to Dan Holliday, Digital Media Specialist Teacher for his efforts in producing and editing the video.

Can you help your P&C?

The more volunteers we have the less of a load it will be on all of us and the more we can achieve for our kids. Contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Uniform Shop: Our uniform shop is run by parent volunteers. We could do with a few extra parents to help serve when the shop is open and especially to assist at stocktake time and a few other peak periods.

Snack Shack (Canteen): Our staff would really welcome having a parent volunteer to lend a hand. If we could cover all the days of the week, that would be fantastic. You might like to volunteer once a term, once a month or every week. Whatever suits you will suit us!

Join the Cookup: We have a number of homemade specials on our menu and would like to add more but these require parent led cook ups. You don’t have to be involved in every cook up just be on the list of volunteers to call when we need.

Volunteers List: We are involved in all sorts of events during the year and sometimes need to call on volunteers. Types of events:

  • Mother's day, Father's day and Christmas stall
  • Expo/Open Night Sausage sizzle
  • Sports carnival
  • Disco
  • Colour Run

Gift Stall Creation Team: We have a gift stall for Mothers Day, Fathers Day and Christmas. We sometimes need volunteers to help with the preparation and especially on stall days.
