Year 7

Roleystone Community College was designated a 'Lighthouse' school by the Department of Education in 2012 in terms of the delivery of successful Year 7 Transition programs.

Overview

In its inaugural year Roleystone Community College was designated a 'Lighthouse' school by the Department of Education in terms of the delivery of successful Year 7 Transition programs.

Now Year 7 is incorporated and recognised as the start of Secondary education at public schools in Western Australia.

Year 7 Students at Roleystone Community College

At Roleystone Community College, Year 7 students belong to the same class group all year. Each class receives tuition in English, Mathematics, Science, Society and Environment and Health Education from specialist secondary teachers. Primary specialist teachers take Year 7 classes for Music, Physical Education and Information Communication Technology. Primary teachers provide additional tuition in English and Mathematics lessons for other subjects such as Art, Sport and a variety of personal development activities.
